why didn't she use that earlier and why don't start the battle with bankai you are risking having potential wounds that could be fatal. as long as your bankai has a restriction or takes to much of your energy i don't see a reason to not activate your bankai because if you activate it when you're at the end of a battle you already are mostly out of energy and are full of wounds

It's like you didn't even watch the episode. She said so already. She wanted to get accustomed to a Arrancar's resurrection. Also, she barely received any damage, lol. She also said not to show all your cards to an enemy you still had to fight. Those 2 weren't their final boss.

Honestly, no one fits the title of the Captain of Squad 2 of the Gotei 13 better than Soi Fon. Her technique is literally a two-strikes finish. Plus, the way the back of her haori was shown with the kanji for '2' ("ni"), pretty much depicted that the Arrancar had been struck twice without her even needing to explain it.
